Congratulations to the Tecumseh Indians ladies winning Regionals at Milan.  Heading to the MHSAA Division II state meet June 1st is Tyler Fugate for 1st in pole vault and 2nd Kaitlyn Crim.  The girls 4x100m relay (Garrison, Fugate, Rutledge, Talicska) placed 1st with a 51.16. Quincy Garrison placed 1st in 100m hurdles with 16.05 and also qualifying was Hailey Talicska with a 16.21. Abbie McDowell placed 1st in Shot Put with a throw of 34.5.5.   Congratulations to all the lady Indians on the win, and it was a great team effort.      The Tecumseh men's team placed 2nd at regionals at Milan.  Heading to the MHSAA Division II meet is Jacob Denison for the 200m and 400m with 2nd place finishes. Parker Hedrick placed 1st in the 800m with a time of 1:59.49.  The 4x200m and 4x400m (Denison, Hedrick, Blayer, Ries) relay teams both secured 1st place finishes with a 1:30.4 and a 3:29.6. The Tecumseh Boy’s Track team and girls completed at the Hillsdale Invite Saturday.  Placing for the boys team was the 4x100m (Denison, Blayer, Ries, Talicsak) with a 45.52.  The 4x2 placed 1st with 1:37.0. Jacob Denison placed 1st in the 200m with 22.79. The 4x800m placed 1st with a 8:44.89 (Mackey, Nowak, Ries, Hedrick).    On the Girls side Tecumseh placed 1st  out of 9 teams at the Hillsdale Invite. Haley  Quincy Garrison and Haley Talicska went 1 and 2 in the 100m hurdles   The girls 4x100m relay (Talicska, Rutledge,Garrison, Fugate) placed 2nd with 52.29.  placing first in pole vault was Tyler Fugate with a height of 10.0' and also winning the 100m with 13.35.   

The Tecumseh Boy’s Track team and girls completed at the Stockbridge Invite Friday night.  Placing for the boys team was the 4x400m (Denison, Blayer, Ries, Hedrick) with a blazing 3:26.5 the 4th fastest time in State of Michigan and leading Division 2.  The 4x1 placed 2nd at Stockbridge with 44.87. Micheal Rines threw a 127'03" in Discus to move to second in the region.     On the Girls side Tecumseh placed 3rd out of 16 teams at the Stockbridge Invite. Haley Tailcska and Quincy Garrison went 2,3 in the 100m hurdles and are 1/2 in the region.  THe girls 4x100m relay (Talicska, Rutledge,Garrison, Fugate) placed 1st with 52.0.  Abbie McDowell threw a 35'0 in shot put for a 2nd place finish. And placing first in pole vault was Tyler Fugate with a height of 10.0'.    

The Tecumseh Boy’s Track team placed 2nd at the Clinton Pelz Invitational Friday night.. The team placed 2nd with 78 points below Dundee winning with 85 points.   Scoring for Tecumseh was; 100m Jacob Denison (11.68) 1srt and 2nd was Deandre Blayer with 1(11.87).  Scoring in the 200m 1st Jacob Denison (23.00), Scoring in the 400m was 1st Jacob Denison with a time of (54.08) and 4th was Ryan Somsel (56.82). Placing 1st in the 800m was Parker Hedrick with time of (2:04.2) and Eric Ries was 4th (2:05.2).  Tyler Nowak finished 3rd in the 1600 ( 5:04.0) and 4th in the 3200m with (11:08.1)  Nick Case placed 4th in the 300m Hurdles (48.26).  The 4x100 Relay took 1st with a time of 46.27 and the 4x400m took 1st also with (3:37).  The 4x200 and 4x800 both placed second. Scoring for long jump was Deandre Blayer with a PR of 20’4 for 3rd and Robert Talicska with a jump of 18’10.   The Indians are looking for their next competition against Pinckney.   The Tecumseh Girl's team placed 1st at the Clinton Pelz Invitational Friday night.. The girls won against with 105 points above Dundee with 81 points.   Scoring for Tecumseh was; 100m Tyler Fugate (13.68). Scoring in the 200m 2nd Abbie McDowell (29.6), 3rd Erin Rutledge (29.86), and 4th Emily Peterson (30.16).  Isabelle Brigman took 3rd in the 400m (1:06.5) .  Katie Selenko took 1st in the 800m with (2:33.65). Kaitlin Knape took 2nd in the 1600m with (5:56.9) and 1st in the 3200m with (12:10). Haley Talicska took 1st in the 100m Hurdles with a time of (16.7) and also won the 300m Hurdels with (51.90). The Tecumseh girls sweep all the relays 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, 4x8.  Abbie and Isabelle Brigman sweep the Discus with a first and second place victory each throwing 90 feet.  Tyler Fugate and Quincy Garrison went 1st and 3rd in long jump.   The Lady Indians are off to a great start and with the first invitational win of the season.   Great job.
